ST. JOHN’S GRANT PROGRAM

St. John’s runs a grant program, which each year disburses 10% of the parish’s pledged income to local, national, and international ministries. Our Outreach Committee invites you to learn more about the types of grants we provide.

An overarching goal of our outreach program is to foster a better understanding of, and relationship with, the organizations we fund and the people they serve. Therefore, we encourage all of our grant recipients to note ways they can communicate with, and possibly work with, St. John’s parishioners during the year.

Type of Grants

General Purpose Grants Up to $1,000 can be used for non-specific, general support (e.g., wages, operational expenses).

Special Impact Grants For more specific purposes or projects that range from $1,000-$4,000. Organizations receiving these grants are required to also complete a basic end-of-year report.

Funding Areas

Basic categories of issue areas to be considered include: children, food insecurity, health care, housing, immigrants/refugees, opioids/addictions, social justice/advocacy, seniors, mental health, transportation, and veterans. Priority issues may be established by the parish each year.

You can access information about currently funded organizations.
