PARISH LIFE

Our Parish Life Committee engages parishioners and visitors in ways that welcome, support, and sustain our community, through our shared spiritual lives and journeys.

Recent examples of how we come together include:

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper – a joyful, intergenerational event with music, Mardi Gras bling, and delicious food.

Fourth of July Parade March – a few dozen parishioners of all ages assembled on Sourthworth St. behind the St. John’s banner for a festive march through Williamstown!

Annual Parish Picnic – a party on the front lawn after Sunday services, with meat and vegetarian hamburgers and hotdogs and lots of potluck dishes.

Picnic Dinner for Incoming Williams Students – held on the front lawn, where students and parishioners meet over a barbecue.

Las Posadas – an intergenerational Mexican tradition that reenacts Joseph and Mary’s search for a place to stay when Jesus was born, ending with a festive dinner and a pinata.

Christmas Carols – parishioners gather to sing carols at a local nursing home.

St. John’s Coffee House – an open mic style gathering where all are welcome to share their various types of live performances.
