STEWARDSHIP
We believe that everything we possess—time, talents, and material wealth—has been entrusted to us by God, and so want to make the most of these resources in God’s service.
We take all aspects of stewardship seriously. Many parishioners invest their time in the church and in the community around us. And most of the cost of operating the parish, as well as the support we provide to local, national, and international organizations, is paid for through direct contributions from parishioners.
For example, within the church, parishioners help lead worship, provide Sunday coffee hour, serve in governance roles, tend the vegetable garden and flower beds, lead faith formation groups, and take communion to shut-ins.
Outside the church, we prepare meals on wheels, conduct services in a local nursing home, sing there and for other shut-ins, volunteer in countless ways with organizations working to improve the lives of our neighbors in the region.
Most parishioners financially support St. John’s by making a pledge using our pledge card for the upcoming calendar year. You can donate online here.
